The Archeology and Cultural Heritage Preservation Laboratory Center was established since 2009, with a total funding of 20,000,000 RMB from several national and reginal projects. It becomes a comprehensive laboratory and teaching center, including archaeometallurgy lab, ceramic archaeology lab, bioarcheology lab, digital lab of cultural relics, and Yellow River archeology lab. It now contains a number of 563 experimental and teaching equipment, with a total value about 12,470,000 RMB, serving experimental teaching activities for Archeology, Museology, Cultural Industry Management, Tourism Management, History, Physics, Material Science, Biology and other majors.

There are 70 faculty members working full-time or part-time at the center, including a member of university academic committee, 50 faculty members with associate professor and above, 54 faculty members with Doctor degree. In order to build a dynamic and diversity team, the center provides professional training and workshops for new researchers. In recent 5 years, our team have earned a lot of honors and achievements in teaching and academic research.

The initial objective of the center is teaching in experiment, and now it has become an international cooperative platform for experimental teaching, academic research, and scientific achievement transformation.
