The College of History and Culture Succeeded in Completing the Doctoral Evaluations on the Three First-level DisciplinesPublish Date:2018-05-17 16:05

    In accordance with the instructions of  the relevant documents issued by the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council and the Ministry of Education and the facts of the construction of academic degree programs in our university and the assessment task arrangements, the self-assessment meeting was held at the College of History and Culture about the three academic degrees of Chinese History, World History, and Archaeology on March 17-22, 2018. The evaluation panel consists of 9 members of the 7th Academic Assessment Committee of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council, 2 Yangtze River Scholars of the Ministry of Education and 4 authoritative experts in the academic fields.

           

 

    Prof. Cheng Minsheng, Prof. Yuan Junjie and Prof. Zhang Ligang gave a detailed and comprehensive report respectively on the each of the three disciplines which have the academic degree accreditations in terms of academic foundation, scientific research achievements, faculty development, student training, and international exchange. The expert panel listened carefully to the reports and they believed that the three academic degree accreditations for Chinese History, World History and Archeology have good development foundations and historical accumulations, distinctive characteristics of personnel training, and fruitful scientific research achievements, and the development momentum of degree points is strong. The expert panel also put forward some valuable opinions and suggestions on the future development of the three degree accreditations. Through the anonymous votes, the evaluation panel unanimously concluded that the self-evaluations of the three academic degree accreditations meet the national standards.
